WALKING & MUSIC TOUR

On this trip your guides will offer the usual range of walks and activities and also add a music component for those who would like to extend their music skills.

Most days will include either a private lesson or  jam session which might be tunes or songs depending on the group.  Dave will also do a mini concert during the trip. Tuition will be individually tailored to participants and you are welcome to discuss this with Dave before you reserve your place.

Trips with Dave O’Neill
Dave is able to offer you tuition in fingerstyle and plectrum acoustic guitar, fiddle and mandolin and singing. Styles include celtic, jazz, blues and folk.

Topics of tuition could include: playing by ear, improvisation, melody and song accompaniment, Irish music ornamentation, bluegrass mandolin, jazz guitar, crafting songs, developing your voice. You can also ask Dave to address other topics.

The next music trip will be 10-21 September 2018.  Please refer to ‘Itineraries’ page and ‘General information’ page for info on accommodation, inclusions, how to get there etc.  If you would like to do this trip we would prefer you book by the end of January 2018.  The cost is $3,750.  Please go to ‘Bookings’ page to book or make an enquiry.

Trips are run annually in September each year.  Dates will be available on this website about 11 months before the trip.

Hi Dave, I have this site through GC Bushwalking Club, so I love walking, but I notice that your group seem to be players of instruments – I am a singer with an a’cappella chorus, so would one of your trips be suitable for me?
